Nonetheless, he is struggling with the stress of the current environment. There have been instances where he snapped and grabbed a staff slip lead, and he accidentally bit a staff member, although no skin was broken. Medically, Kermit is apparently healthy.

When out on walks, Houdini has become reactive and can be difficult to refocus at times. While in his kennel, Houdini licks the kennel bars. Bolt is in need of emergency placement for behavior reasons. A child recently moved into the home and Bolt has begun to resource guard the child's toys. When the owner attempts to manage him by separating him, he will destroy furniture or doors. Bolt is highly fearful when meeting new people and will escalate to barking, growling or snapping. On intake Bolt was showing defensive behaviors. When pressure was applied to his neck with slip leads, he panicked and began to alligator roll and chew through a handler's leash. Minimal handling has been done with Bolt in the care center. Medically, Bolt is reported to be deaf.
