I came into the shelter as a owner surrender on 12/14/2017, with the surrender reason stated as person circumstance- landlord won't allow.

Milo is at risk due to being diagnosed with an Upper Respiratory Infection and will likely require home rest and a series of antibiotics for up to 14 days. This is a contagious illness to other cats. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents

The veterinarian is temporarily waiving this animal from the spay/neuter requirements of the City of NY until such time as the illness has resolved and the pet has sufficiently recovered. At that time, this animal must come into compliance with the spay/neuter requirements.

Hx: Scheduled for surgery at Glendale on 12/16/17. S/O: Cat is Q/BARH. Mild blepharospasm, epiphora, and chemosis OU. Shaking head, appears to have brown waxy debris AU. Sneeze marks noted in cage. Heart/lungs auscult wnl. A: URI P: Temporary waiver from surgery at ACC. Move to ISO. Start on Doxycycline 50mg/ml - 0.5mls PO q24h x 10d. Recheck day 7 and 10. PROGNOSIS: Good

Day 7 of doxy, recheck URI S/O: BAR. Attention seeking, eating well EENT: Mild conjunctivitis OU, minimal nasal discharge HL: No sneezing but sounds a little congested INTEG: WNL MS: Ambulatory x 4 UG: Female A: URI resolving well P: Adding erythromycin OU q12 x 5 days. Excellent prognosis

Reaction to cage door opening:: Milo remains soft and relaxed.

Reaction to touch:: Milo sniffs the assessor's hand and accepts petting, leaning in for cheek rubs. She begins to purr, rubs her head against the assessor's hand, and warms up. She slowly approaches the front and rolls around, displays her belly, and is very sweet.
