Animal Profile

Rufus

Hello, my name is Rufus. My animal id is #71879. I am a desexed male gray tabby cat at the . The shelter thinks I am about 11 years 1 weeks old.

I came into the shelter as a owner surrender on 8/7/2019, with the surrender reason stated as person health - age-related.

Someone has already placed a deposit on me. I'm no longer available.

Rufus is at risk for both behavioral and medical concerns. Rufus has not adapted well to the Care Center environment. He has shown little tolerance for interaction with his handlers and has been hissing, growling, swatting and lunging in his kennel. This has made any attempts to socialize Rufus difficult as his behavior has grown worse over the past few days. Due to this behavior, Rufus is available for placement with our New Hope Partners only. Medically Rufus has a heart murmur and will need follow up with a private veterinarian.

Let's get to know each other a bit more...

A Staff Member Writes: Rufus is a cat who takes his time to get to know you, but once he does he is your friend for life and a fierce protector. Or maybe just a fierce cuddler. He can be a loyal kitty who would love nothing more than to find a castle to call his own again. He is a large cat, with a matching personality and one that you will enjoy enriching your life and enlightening your home with. Head down to ACC to meet this cat who will certainly capture your heart.
