I came into the shelter as a owner surrender on 12/4/2017, with the surrender reason stated as person circumstance- moving - no pets allowed.

Bonnie is at risk for medical reasons, having been diagnosed with Upper Respiratory Infection, which is contagious to other cats. behaviorally, we have no concerns for Bonnie, whom we believe would be suitable for most homes.

Bonnie was stiff bodied during intake she allow me to scratch her head and back and she was rolling into the scratches. She allowed me to collar and pick her up with no issue.

Basic Information:: Bonnie is a gray and white domestic long hair cat that is estiamted to br 8 years old. His previous owner got him as a gift from a friend and stayed with her for the last 3 years until she was no longer willing to car for the cat and wanted to find him a new home.

How is this cat around strangers?: Bonnie is friendly with strangers she approaches them and walks around them until she is comfortable.

How is this cat around children?: Bonnie was friendly with strangers that came up to her.

How is this cat around other cats?: Bonnie was not around other cats in her previous home.

How is this cat around dogs?: Bonnie was not around other dogs in her previous home.

Behavior Notes: Bonnie is relaxed in car rides and is comfortable with baths, trimming nails, carriers, and being brushed. She has no litter box issues.

Bite history:: Bonnie has no history of biting another person or animal.

For a New Family to Know: Bonnie is a very clam and quiet cat that enjoys lying around all day. She enjoys peoples company but is doesn't really seek attention. She does not play with any toys and mostly stays indoors wandering outside for a few minutes at a time before coming back in.

ENRICHMENT NOTES:: 12/5/17 Curled up at back of cubby, head in corner, eyes dilated. Lip licked when spoken to. Lay in place when door opened, leaned forward to sniff assess-a-hand when offered treats, but didn’t eat. Allowed and slowly leaned into pets, remained wary. Sprayed thunderease. 12/6/17 Resting towards back of top cubby, alert, wary, eyes dilated. Lay in place when door opened, lip licked, shifted in place. Allowed all pets, eventually closed eyes, seemed to soften slightly. Sprayed thunderease.

Cage Condition:: No change

Reaction to assessor:: Bonnie remains neutral, lying down in her cage cubby during the approach.

Reaction when softly spoken to:: Bonnie becomes alert with eyes wide open.

Reaction to cage door opening:: Bonnie becomes cautious with her surroundings, looking around towards sudden noises.

Reaction to touch:: Bonnie accepts the touch then slowly warms up and rolls over in place. She leans into the assessor's hand, purrs and kneads while appreciating the petting.

Reaction to being picked up:: She becomes antsy then jumps back into the cage.
