Hello, my name is Tiger. My animal id is #19897. I am a desexed male brown tabby cat at the . The shelter thinks I am about 3 years 10 months old.

I came into the shelter as a owner surrender on 2/3/2018, with the surrender reason stated as person health - debilitating injuries.

Tiger is at risk for medical reasons, having been diagnosed with an Upper Respiratory Infection, which is contagious to other cats. We have not conducted a formal behavior assessment of Tiger, but he has allowed all handling and petting whilst at the care center.

Scanned negative on intake; LVT placed MC History : Surrendered - no health problems reported Subjective: Alert, relaxed Observed Behavior - Purring, loves chin scratches, allows all handling Evidence of Cruelty seen - None Evidence of Trauma seen - None Objective BAR-H, MMs pink and moist, BCS 8/9 EENT: Moderate chemosis and conjunctival erythema, mild mucoserous ocular discharge. Large region of dermatitis extending 1 cm in all directions from the medial canthus OU - hypotrichosis, erythema, moist discharge, some crusting. Mild serous nasal discharge. Crusting in fur on chin. Ears clean. Oral Exam: Mild tartar, moderate gingivitis PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: Grade 3-4/6 holosystolic heart murmur, NSR, Lungs clear, eupnic ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated U/G: Male neutered MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat CNS: Mentation appropriate - no signs of neurologic abnormalities Rectal: Normal externally Assessment: 1. URI/conjunctivitis and periocular dermatitis noted on intake, started on doxycycline and erythromycin S/O -QAR -good appetite -no nasal discharge or sneezing -OU: moderate blepharospasm with small patch of ulcerative dermatitis extending outward from medial canthus -appears eupnic A 1. URI/conjunctivitis-improving 2. Periocular dermatitis-r/o secondary to previous ocular discharge vs primary dermatitis (atopy, food allergy) P -convenia 0.6 ml SQ once today -simbadol 0.6 ml SQ SID x 3 days

Tiger allowed me to pet him and leaned into pets. His body was low and his ears were back. He allowed me to collar and pet him.

Basic Information:: Tiger is a 3 year old, brown tabby and white neutered male. He was given to his previous owner by a neighbor when he was a kitten. He was surrendered because his previous owner is unable to care for him.

How is this cat around strangers?: Around strangers Tiger is friendly and outgoing and gentle whens he plays with adults.

How is this cat around children?: Tiger has not interacted with children.

How is this cat around other cats?: tiger lived with 10 other cats in his previous home. He was relaxed and affectionate with all of them. The age range was 2 to 10 years. When he played he was exuberant.

How is this cat around dogs?: Tiger has not interacted with dogs.

Behavior Notes: Tiger also lived with a turtle and liked to watch him. In car rides he meows. He enjoys having his coat brushed and being picked up. He isn't bothered if he is placed in a carrier or disturbed while sleeping.

Bite history:: Tiger has never bitten a person or animal.

Medical Notes: Tiger has no known injuries or health concerns.

For a New Family to Know: Tiger is described as friendly, affectionate, playful, confident, talkative when hungry but mostly quiet. His previous owner likes that he is lovable. When his previous owner was home he followed her around. He was kept indoors and he slept in a recliner. He ate wet and dry Fancy Feast and Elegant Medleys. He is litter box trained and had 9 boxes to choose from. Both hooded and un-hooded but he mainly used a hooded litter box and clumping litter. He had both horizontal and vertical scratching post both made from rough rope and cardboard.

MEDICAL BEHAVIOR:: Observed Behavior - Purring, loves chin scratches, allows all handling

ENRICHMENT NOTES:: 2/4/18 Curled up asleep at back of cage, woke when door opened. Eyes remained mostly shut due to irritation. Lay in place, allowed pets, but some lip licking and shifting in place, pressed face further into corner. Appeared to fall asleep again after door closed. 2/5/18 Diagnosed with URI, moved to iso. Curled up in litter box, head down, lethargic. Lay in place when door opened. Allowed all pets, lowered head further, hid face. No other response.
