Animal Profile

Mitch

Hello, my name is Mitch. My animal id is #64012. I am a desexed male gray dog at the . The shelter thinks I am about 2 years 3 months 4 weeks old.

I came into the shelter as a owner surrender on 8/9/2019, with the surrender reason stated as person circumstance- landlord won't allow (nycha).

Reserved

Someone has already placed a deposit on me. I'm no longer available.

Mitch is at risk for behavioral reasons. Mitch has deteriorated during his stay at the care center and has displayed a ow threshold for arousal as well as reactivity toward other dogs. Mitch would be best suited for an adopter prepared to offer some behavior modification. Medically, Mitch seems healthy.

Let's get to know each other a bit more...

A staff member writes: Let's take a break and envision something fun. Close your eyes and envision yourself in an open field, green and grassy. The weather's perfect, you've got the day off, and... oh what's that?! You're holding a leash! At the end of this leash, is a dog, handsome and grey like the perfect charcoal illustration. He's got a broad face, the most defining wrinkles, and a velvet snout that spreads into a smile every time you call him over. He's eager to spend time by your side and enjoy an afternoon of pets, treats, and toys. Now, open your eyes. Do you miss him already? Don't worry! You can come to the Manhattan care center and adopt Mitch, so your daydreams will never come to an end. Mitch seeks a forever home with a loving family. He hopes for a home as the only dog, and an owner who can envision your lives together forever.
