Hello, my name is Soul. My animal id is #56135. I am a desexed male black cat at the . The shelter thinks I am about 3 years 2 weeks old.

I came into the shelter as a returns on 3/10/2019.

Someone has already placed a deposit on me. I'm no longer available.

Soul is at risk for medical reasons. Soul was diagnosed with a severe upper respiratory infection which will require immediate hospitalization upon placement and is contagious to other animals. Behaviorally, Soul would do well in most homes.

S/O - et tube placed previously due to anorexia - prolonged skin tent - marked pytalism - open mouth breathing - lethargy - not eating voluntarily EENT - purulent nasal discharge; eyes clear H/L - clear/eupnic ; nsr no arrhythmia A - URI - severe - dehydration, purulent discharge, anorexia P - Place on IV fluids @ 12 ml for 24 hours - Cerenia 0.35 ml IV SID for 3 days - Doxycycline 10 mg/kg PO for 10 days - Nebulize x 5 days

SO Cat with severe URI and anorexia. Feeding tube placed on 3/11. P continues to remain anorexic; is handling e-tube feedings well. QAR in kennel, easily roused EN -- eyes and nose are clear. no audible congestion. Oral -- ptyalism, intermittent gagging A URI, severe anorexia P mirataz topical 1.5inch q24h x 5 days Recommend P get immediate placement; P should be transferred to a hospital for continued care and monitoring.

SO Cat with severe URI and continued anorexia. A feeding tube was placed on 3/11. BAR in kennel, easily roused. Today, P shows interest in food by sniffing but gags immediately after. Did not eat on his own. EN -- eyes are clear. crusted mucoid nasal discharge on nares. Mild to moderate audible congestion and sneezing. A URI, severe anorexia P continue on current tx plan little remedies q12h x 3 days Recommend P get immediate placement; P should be transferred to a hospital for continued care and monitoring.

How is this cat around dogs?: Soul has never physically been around dogs but when he hears them bark in the hallway he gets scared. He runs away and hides.

Behavior Notes: Soul was noted to have scratched the box spring of the owners bed.
