I came into the shelter as a aco impound on 11/13/2017, with the surrender reason stated as poor choice - too many animals already.

Sasha is at risk for medical reasons. Sasha has contract Upper Respiratory Infection which is contagious to other cats. Behaviorally, Sasha has been assessed as being suitable for beginner cat homes.

Basic Information:: Sasha is a female, domestic short haired cat. Previous owner found Sasha as a stray and brought her into her home. She has had her for about 4 months and unfortunately has to surrender to not being able to care for her. Sasha has no known health issue and has never been to the vet.
Previously lived with:: 2 adults, cats, and dogs
How is this cat around strangers?: Sasha is shy for days when strangers come over. She will hide in the closet or under the bed. She does not play.
How is this cat around children?: Sasha was respectful when children came over. She was around children ages 7 and under.
How is this cat around other cats?: Sasha was fearful of the cats she lived with. She would hide away from them.
How is this cat around dogs?: Sasha was tolerant of the dogs. She did not play with them.
Behavior Notes: Previous owner has never taken Sasha in a car. Sasha enjoys getting water and wasn't bothered when getting a bath. Previous owner never trimmed her nails. Sasha enjoys getting brushed and isn't bothered when being picked up. She is afraid of carriers and will struggle to go inside. She isn't bothered when disturbed while sleeping.

For a New Family to Know: Sasha is a shy, affectionate, mellow, independent cat. She has a low activity level and owner liked how docile she was. She hid a lot while in the previous owners home. She was indoors only and ate nine lives. She is litter box trained and used a covered and uncovered litter box with clumping litter. She did not have a scratching post.
