I came into the shelter as a owner surrender on 11/5/2018, with the surrender reason stated as person health - age-related.

Michy is at risk for medical, he is an underage kitten that was diagnosed with ringworm which is contagious and will require follow up care. There are no behavior concerns at this time.

DVM Intake Exam Estimated age: 2 months Microchip noted on Intake? no History : owner surrender, owner found in a garbage bin Subjective: BARH, good appetite, normal defecations Observed Behavior - generally accepting of all interactions aside from iv access Evidence of Cruelty seen - no Evidence of Trauma seen - no Objective T = uto P = 188 R = 24 BCS 5/9 EENT: Eyes clear, ears have cerumenous discharge AU, no nasal or ocular discharge noted Oral Exam: unremarkable PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated, abd distended U/G: female intact, no leakage, discharge or urgency MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, multiple areas of alopecia along ears nose and paws that are wood's lamp positive, fleas visible on skin CNS: Mentation appropriate - no signs of neurologic abnormalities Rectal: visually normal Assessment: 1. Day 10th of the culture Done: 11/5/18 White fuzzy growth with change of color on both sides. Microscopic slide at day 10 revealed ringworm spores on the green side. Plate will be discarded.

Basic Information:: Michy was brought into our facilities as an owner surrender due to the owner being too old to properly care for her. She is about 3 months old and the finder had her for roughly 2 months. She is a black domestic short hair.

Previously lived with:: 1 adult, 1 cat, 2 dogs

How is this cat around strangers?: Michy is friendly towards strangers.

How is this cat around children?: Michy has not been around children.

How is this cat around other cats?: Michy lived with a two year old intact male cat. They interacted minimally as the owner did not want them to procreate.

How is this cat around dogs?: Michy lived with two dogs, but the owner kept them in separate rooms so they did not interact directly.

Behavior Notes: Michy's prior owner did not report any behavioral issues. The owner bathed her once as a kitten and she struggled throughout the bath. The owner did not brush her coat. Michy enjoys being picked up and held.

Bite history:: Michy has never attempted to bite or scratch another person or animal.

Medical Notes: Currently, Michy is presenting with missing patches of hair on the tail, head, and ears. The owner did not bring her to a veterinarian for this issue.

She will follow you around and seek attention when you are home. She slept in a carrier. She ate wet food only. Michy is somewhat litter box trained. She used a plastic bin.
