Summary:: 2.22.26 Annie met a large breed male dog through a gate. Annie approaches with a neutral body and greets the dog before walking away.
Summary (7):: 2/21 - Annie is barking and jumping up at the front of her kennel. She ignores the loop while being leashed a couple of times and then bites the rope on a third attempt being leashed, tugging on it, then dropping it after a few seconds. She is then leashed while being distracted by a treat and brought out to the yard. In the yard, she explores with a soft body and allows the handler to clip a drag leash with no issue. Handler offers some treats from the palm, and she takes them gently, but leaves some blood behind on her hand. She is easily returned to her kennel.

BEHAVIOR DETERMINATION:: Level 2
Potential challenges: : Anxiety
Potential challenges comments:: ANXIETY Annie appears anxious at the care center, whining when first put in a kennel and biting at the rope when being leashed. We have no history on her behavior in a home environment, so we do not know if this will occur outside of the care center. If it does appear in a future home, we recommend puzzle toys, long walks, and giving her other things to focus on to alleviate her anxiety. Positive reinforcement, force-free training only should be used. Please see handout on Anxiety.
