This pet needs emergency placement. Please click here to go to our emergency placement page for more information. Wayne has been placed on the At Risk list for medical reasons. He is an old gut and has several co-morbidities that make him fragile. He has heart disease and osteoarthritis and severe dental disease. He needs care and attention that we cannot provide. Meet Wayne: Wayne is a sweet 16-year-old small dog with a big personality and lots of love to give. He's social, affectionate, and happiest when he's following his family around the house to stay close to his people. Wayne is playful and active, enjoys his routine, and isn't shy about being vocal when he's excited. He knows the cues sit, lay, come, down, and "give me kiss." He's used to three 20-minute walks a day and only pulls very mildly on leash. Wayne also loves bath time and water and happily allows his family to bathe him, brush him, and trim his nails. Wayne eats dry food and isn't picky about brands. His favorite treats are bones, but he'll happily enjoy anything offered. He can be a little nervous getting into the car, but once he's in, he loves going for rides. One of his cutest habits is greeting people by standing on his hind legs and putting his paws up to say hello. Wayne would love a home where he can be a loyal companion and spend plenty of time with his people.
