Animal Profile

Sundar Popo

Hello, my name is Sundar Popo. My animal id is #234294. I am a female silver tabby cat at the Queens Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 6 months 2 weeks old.

I came into the shelter as a owner surrender on 8/14/2025, with the surrender reason stated as animal health - will need ongoing vet care.

Sundar Popo is at-risk due to medical concerns. Sundar Popo was reported to be hit by a car on 8/9 and sustained a fracture to his tail. He has been bright, playful, affectionate, eating well and urinating on his own. However, he has reduced anal tone and is suspected to have fecal incontinence (he is currently producing normal stool without intention/posturing). He solicits pets and allows all medical handling. Sundar Popo requires cage rest and time to allow his tail injury to heal, and close monitoring to ensure that his anal tone returns.

What my friends at ACC say about me: It is unknown if I have ever lived with other animals or children. I have medical needs that staff will address with you when you meet me. Cheek and chin scratches make me so happy! I love getting pets and - you guessed it - snuggles! Sundar Popo interacts with the assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is suitable for any level of adopter experience.

BEHAVIOR SUMMARY:: At the front of the kennel, Sundar Popo is vocalizing as she stands with a neutral body, mid-level tail, slightly wide eyes and forward ears; Sundar immediately lower her head and head bunts the assessor’s hand for head pets - harshly leaning in/down for chin and cheek rubs she enjoys pets on her neck and all over her body as her tail slightly raises. Sundar allows the assessor to pick her up and place her back down with no issues and enjoyed all the treats that were offered. While scanning the room at the front of the kennel, Sundar looks over to the neighboring and kennel and quietly hisses at the cat next door but maintains a neutral face and body without escalating.
