Animal Profile

Clementine

Hello, my name is Clementine. My animal id is #243809. I am a female muted calico cat at the Queens Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 12 years old.

I came into the shelter as a stray on 12/16/2025.

Clementine is on the at-risk list for medical reasons. Clementine is an underweight old cat with suspected underlying disease. Her bloodwork did not reveal specific diagnoses, but additional diagnostics are recommended with placement, specifically an abdominal ultrasound. Clinically, Clementine is bright and active with a good appetite. Behaviorally, she has allowed all medical handling.

Let's get to know each other a bit more...

What my friends at ACC say about me: My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet! Cheek and chin scratches make me so happy! I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.

Your newly adopted pet IS UNDERWEIGHT and the staff veterinarians are issuing a TEMPORARY waiver from the spay/neuter requirements of the City of NY. Follow up care at your regular veterinarian is recommended to ensure continued treatment through to the resolution of the issue. At the time of a full recovery you may choose to have your veterinarian perform the spay/neuter surgery, or make provisions to return the pet to ACC for sterilization.

KNOWN HISTORY:: Clementine was brought in as a stray, there is no known information on her behavior history in a home environment.

ACTIVITY LEVEL:: Lively

VOCAL:: Talkative

CHARACTER TYPE: : Bold,Social,Sweet,Affectionate,Demanding,People oriented,Curious

BEHAVIOR DETERMINATION: : Level 1

BEHAVIOR SUMMARY:: Clementine was sitting upright in the front of her kennel as the assessor approached, body and face relaxed with her ears forward. Clementine remained in front of her kennel as the cage door opened and she allowed all petting while leaning in, purring and then standing up. Clementine is unsteady on her feet and wobbles a bit, however she continues to vocalize and lean in for petting while purring. Clementine remained calm when lifted and placed back down. Clementine interacts with the assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is suitable for any level of adopter experience.
