Eloise is on the at-risk list due to medical concerns. Eloise is a friendly 3 month old kitten who was brought to the shelter as a stray. While at the shelter, she was diagnosed with several fractured metatarsal bones causing her to limp. As Eloise is still a growing cat, it's very important that these fractures heal properly; she will need further evaluation and work up at a full service vet clinic and orthopedic consult to ensure the leg heals appropriately. Eloise has allowed for all handling, solicits pets, and purrs through her bandage changes.

Your newly adopted pet has been diagnosed with being UNDERWEIGHT & LAMENESS ON LEFT HIND and the staff veterinarians are issuing a TEMPORARY waiver from the spay/neuter requirements of the City of NY. Follow up care at your regular veterinarian is recommended to ensure continued treatment through to the resolution of the issue. At the time of a full recovery you may choose to have your veterinarian perform the spay/neuter surgery, or make provisions to return the pet to ACC for sterilization.
