Ms. Kitty Kat
Hello, my name is Ms. Kitty Kat. My animal id is #226872. I am a female black cat at the Queens Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 12 years old.
I came into the shelter as a owner surrender on 5/11/2025, with the surrender reason stated as animal health - will need ongoing vet care.
Ms. Kitty Kat is at risk due to medical reasons. She was diagnosed on intake with diabetes mellitus. She is also obese and has stage III dental disease. She will need continued insulin therapy, a prescription diet, and regular veterinary checkups with placement. Behaviorally, Ms. Kitty Kat is shy at first but warms up quickly for petting and brushing. She allows all medical handling.

What my friends at ACC say about me: What do you get when you cross a cat with a couch? A cat-potato! And that's me to a T! I have medical needs that staff will address with you when you meet me. My purr motor is always running! Ms. Kitty Kat accepts attention and petting but appears to be slightly fearful or stressed in the shelter. She will likely need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that she go to a home with some cat experience preferred or at least be well counseled in fearful cat behavior.
