A volunteer writes: So very nice, we named her twice! Urban Dictionary defines "Jerryanne" as one who's "classy, smart, wise, funny, and nice." Well, all that fits our girl to a T. Oh, and speaking of tea -- we can add "endlessly polite" to Jerryanne's list of fine qualities. This 2 year-old beauty queen sits without being asked, takes her treats gently, and walks like a debutante on leash. On a recent stroll to the park, our smart and classy sweetheart tended to business straight away before skipping excitedly through piles of amber and orange leaves, eventually settling near a bench for some fall photos. And here we are again, piling on the praise as Jerryanne sat happily for the camera, took no issue with being tethered, and didn't bat one eye (unlike her photographer) when the sky suddenly opened up with rain. And take it from said photographer, that should you ever require a snuggle partner whilst waiting out a storm on a city stoop, Jerryanne is certainly your gal. Classy, smart, wise, funny, nice, polite, and snuggly. Sound too good to be true? Huh. Sounds just like Jerryanne to me. Jerryanne is waiting in adoptions at Manhattan ACC. Another volunteer writes: A classic beauty, elegant, calm, gentle and sweet beyond words. Resting quietly in her kennel when I approached, she stood gently, came forward to be leashed, and out we go. Her leash manners are lovely, she went potty enroute, and wags her tail at every passerby. She has such a cute expression as she looks up that everyone says hello to her. So cute. Her orange and white coat is clean, she's trim, and she looks to the manor born. But, when she tries to curl up in my lap like she's a small dog, all bets are off as we laugh together at her antics, and she give me kisses. Her serious face doesn't give a hint as to the fun, affectionate girl she is, so you'll just have to come meet her and see for yourself.

Pre-surgical exam, anesthesia, and surgery performed by ASPCA. Green linear tattoo placed on ventral abdomen. ASPCA vet noticed some mild dental plaque during exam.

Jerryanne was loose bodied when she came in she allowed me to approach her and and check her for any wounds. After a few minutes she was sitting between me legs while i scratched her head and rubbed her belly. She was biting the collar that i tried to put on her and then became very stiff. She followed me on a leash and jumped right into the kennel.

Tag:: 1. Dog assumes play position and joins the game. Or dog indicates play with huffing, soft 'popping' of the body, etc. Dog might jump on Assessor once play begins.

Jerryanne may do best in an initially calm and quiet home environment and should be given time to acclimate to her new surroundings.
