Riddick
Hello, my name is Riddick . My animal id is #267130. I am a male brown dog at the Manhattan Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 10 years old.
I came into the shelter as a aco - impound on 10/2/2026.
Riddick needs at risk placement for medical reasons. He is a senior, emaciated dog with diarrhea and anal fissures. It is a painful condition that requires management with medication that we do not have. He is also not absorbing nutrients from his intestines as he should. He needs long term medical management with a local veterinarian to manage his condition.
Let's get to know each other a bit more...

He is a senior, emaciated dog with diarrhea and anal fissures. It is a painful condition that requires management with medication that we do not have. He is also not absorbing nutrients from his intestines as he should. He needs long term medical management with a local veterinarian to manage his condition. Riddick came to ACC as a stray, so we don't have much information on him. His finder states that he allowed all handling with them, even interacting with children in the finder's home with no issue. He has allowed all handling by staff in shelter as well. He is looking for a home who can manage his current medical needs and provide him a comfortable place to ride out his senior years.

ENERGY LEVEL:: We have no history on Riddick so we cannot be certain of their behavior in a home environment. However, they will need daily mental and physical activity to stay engaged and exercised. We recommend long-lasting chews, food puzzles, and hide-and-seek games, in addition to physical exercise, to positively direct their energy and enthusiasm.
