He is a sweet, geriatric cat with a poor appetite and an upper respiratory tract infection. He enjoys other cats and needs a home to recover from his infection. My foster writes: Senor Tio is not all at all a senior. Active, gentle, curious. He likes human company as well as other felines and will make himself comfortable at your feet and by you side. Never grumpy always alert and active and friendly. he would gladly share your home and all the comforts you can provide. What my friends at ACC say about me: My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet! I am a sweet older gentleman, looking for the perfect forever home! Tio is laying on his side in the back of the den, pupils dilated. As the den cover is lifted, he presses his body closer to the back wall, slightly tense. He tolerates all petting, leaning into it and relaxing his body slightly when he is pet on his head and cheeks. Tio is not able to be coaxed out of the den but is able to be easily lifted from inside of the den, remaining calm when held. Tio is a shy, sweet cat who interacts with the assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is suitable for any level of adopter experience. Please note that this cat is being treated for a medical condition at the time of evaluation. It does not appear that the medical condition is affecting his behavior.

Details on my behavior are...
Behavior Condition: 2. Blue
KNOWN HISTORY:: Tio was brought in with limited information on his behavior history in a home environment.
ACTIVITY LEVEL:: Laid back
VOCAL:: Quiet
CHARACTER TYPE: : Shy ,Sweet,Timid
POTENTIAL CHALLENGES:: New home adjustment period
Potential challenges comments:: Tio is a shy cat who should be given a slow introduction to the home, one room at a time starting in a small room like a bathroom with food, litter and water because behaviors seen at the Care Center suggest that he may hide if allowed. Interact with him in this room until he seems sufficiently confident that you feel you can introduce him to the next part of the home without running the risk that he will hide. Please speak to an adoption counselor for additional information on methods to help introduce your cat to the home.
