Your newly adopted pet is underweight and the staff veterinarians are issuing a TEMPORARY waiver from the spay/neuter requirements of the City of NY. Follow up care at your regular veterinarian is recommended to ensure continued treatment through to the resolution of the issue. At the time of a full recovery you may choose to have your veterinarian perform the spay/neuter surgery, or make provisions to return the pet to ACC for sterilization.

8/5/26: DVM Foster Exam and Updated Tasks 8/13-15/26: Return to Shelter -24 hr IPE reports no concerns -URI apparently resolved -OS symblepharon -Okay for surgery; consider exploration for oropharyngeal polyp at time of spay -Giving additional FVRCP vaccine today d/t Panleuk Quarantine in Kitten Nursery Per Medical Intake Procedure Policy, this patient is apparently healthy and does not need an intake exam because they were out of care for less than 30 days at the time of RTS. Any tasks due will be managed through routine in-shelter task management procedures.

Pre-surgical exam, anesthesia, and surgery performed by offsite vet. Rabies vaccine administered. Medical record uploaded to Vet Documents. Green linear tattoo placed lateral to incision. GIVE: 0.05 ml of meloxicam 1.5 mg/ml PO for 2 days starting the day after surgery.

Upon intake Amora was very shy and timid but docile allowing all handling such as scanning for microchip, collaring and placing from carrier into kennel. All done without any concerns.
