He has many issues associated with his advanced age and is too fragile to stay long in the shelter. He needs care and attention that we cannot provide. Spork is a 15-year-old gentleman with a heart of gold. This silver-coated sweetheart with a stern face was found wandering the streets after likely more than a week alone-hungry and in need of help. A kind citizen brought him to safety, and now Spork is looking for his forever home. Despite his rough start and the signs of his senior years, Spork's gentle spirit shines through. He's wonderfully social, loves people, and has the easiest-going nature you could ask for. His endearing looks and sweet demeanor make it impossible not to fall in love with him.I totally fell for him... Spork is seeking a hospice home where he can spend his golden days surrounded by warmth, gentle care, and lots of love. This special boy deserves a soft landing after his difficult journey. Details on my behavior are...

Behavior Condition: 2. Blue

KNOWN HISTORY:: Spork was brought in as a stray, there is no known information on his behavior history in a home environment. Spork allowed admissions staff to scan for microchip (negative), pick him up, and put him into a den with no issue.

ENRICHMENT NOTES:: 11/4/25 Calm resting by the front. Alert with soft eyes. Ears relaxed and forward. He remains in position while allowing pets along the head and body.

ACTIVITY LEVEL:: Moderate

VOCAL:: Quiet

CHARACTER TYPE: : Social,Calm,Sweet,People oriented,Easy going,Graceful,Curious

BEHAVIOR DETERMINATION: : Level 1

BEHAVIOR SUMMARY:: Spork was resting curled up with his head tucked in and tail wrapped around his body at the front of the kennel. He remains rested when opening the door and then wakes up when pet on the head. He immediately sits up and begins eating from his food bowl and is unbothered when receiving cheek rubs. He pauses to focus on the assessor with a soft body and eyes, raises his shoulders when stroking his body, and then continues eating. When applying gentle upward pressure on his side and chest, lifting his front half of his body a few inches off the floor, he remains calm. After placing him back down, he continues eating more of his wet food and appreciates more petting and cheek rubs. Spork interacts with the assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is suitable for any level of adopter experience.
