Animal Profile

Charles

Hello, my name is Charles. My animal id is #15192. I am a desexed male chocolate dog at the . The shelter thinks I am about 4 years 3 weeks old.

I came into the shelter as a stray on 12/2/2017.

Reserved

Someone has already placed a deposit on me. I'm no longer available.

Charles is at risk for medical reasons, having been diagnose with Canine Infectious Respiratory Disease Complex, which is contagious to other dogs. Behaviorally, we have no concerns for Charles, whom we believe would be suitable for most homes.

You may know me from such films as...

Let's get to know each other a bit more...

A volunteer writes: Charles seems to be the perfect gentleman.. He is well dressed in his chocolate coat, well mannered with people and dogs alike, calm while lively, easy going and very pleasant to spend time with. Charles is a good walker, likely house trained, not a marker or a puller. He does not drag his caretaker after birds or squirrels and respects his peers in the street or in playgroups. He is a bit reserved at first but after a while, comes to sit by my side, poses his head in my lap and indulges in caresses. He accepts my treats and unlike the young Lab he came with, sits, hoping for more. He does favor buttered ciabatta over roast beef. Do we have a vegan here??? Charles is a very good looking dog, healthy appearing, gentle, low key, sociable and who knows his way around us humans. I see him as a great companion and loyal friend to his adopter or new family. Come and meet Charles at the Manhattan Care Center. He is the one you have been looking for...
