Animal Profile

Maple

Hello, my name is Maple. My animal id is #10996. I am a desexed female gray tabby cat at the . The shelter thinks I am about 2 years 2 weeks old.

I came into the shelter as a stray on 10/28/2017.

Someone has already placed a deposit on me. I'm no longer available.

Maple is at risk due to being diagnosed with an Upper Respiratory Infection which is contagious to other cats. Maple will likely require in home care with a course of antibiotics. At this time there are no behavior concerns for Maple (beginner determination).

Let's get to know each other a bit more...

A volunteer writes: Maple made my heart melt. Her coat is that gorgeous blue-gray, with patches of white on her face and chin. What made her so lovable is that she seemed so shy, until I started petting her. She rubbed her face all over my hand, but she did it in the sweetest and gentlest way. A lot of cats are very enthusiastic when they show you affection, but sometimes there's a sense that they are marking you, owning you, covering you with their scent so that everyone knows you belong to them. With Maple, it's the opposite; she's getting your scent on her cheeks and face, so that it will stay with her, even when you go away and when she's missing you the most. I may be imagining all this, but I tell you how it felt. I am sure you'll notice it too. If you pet her, the next time you put your hand up to your face, you may find you are missing her and have to take her home.

My medical notes are...

Weight: 8 lbs
