Falafel
Hello, my name is Falafel. My animal id is #250802. I am a male tabby cat at the Queens Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 7 years old.
I came into the shelter as a stray on 3/29/2026.
Falafel is on the at risk list for medical reasons. Falafel is an older cat who presented underweight and with moderate dental disease. Intake diagnostics showed an elevated white blood cell count which could be indicative of neoplasia. Falafel would benefit from rapid shelter exit and work up at full service veterinary hospital. Falafel is a sweet boy who has allowed for handling.

My purr motor is always running! I am a cat that is in need of a lap! I can't wait to be your new lap cat. I have medical needs that staff will address with you when you meet me.

[Spay/Neuter Waiver - Permanent] Your newly adopted pet has been diagnosed with neoplaysia and the staff veterinarians are issuing a PERMANENT waiver from the spay/neuter requirements of the City of NY. ACC does not have the facility to safely sterilize your pet with his/her current condition. However, your veterinarian will provide consultation on whether this procedure can or should be performed under their supervision. Follow up care at your regular veterinarian is recommended to ensure continued treatment and proper oversight of your pet's health. All costs for follow up care and subsequent surgery is at the expense of the adopter.
