Misty Night
Hello, my name is Misty Night. My animal id is #235935. I am a desexed female brown tabby cat at the Queens Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 8 years 2 months 1 weeks old.
I came into the shelter as a owner surrender on 11/7/2025, with the surrender reason stated as animal health - will need ongoing vet care.
Misty Night is on the at-risk list due to medical concerns. Misty Night is an adult female cat who has been noted to have chronic diarrhea both in shelter and in her prior home. The diarrhea has not been responsive to treatment thus far. Misty Night will require further evaluation and work up at a full service vet clinic with possible ultrasound/biopsy to determine the cause. Misty Night has allowed for handling and solicits attention during her exams.

A volunteer writes: A crowd of staff and volunteers was kneeling in front of Misty's kennel. I thought something was wrong with the kitty...Not at all. Misty was meowing and sticking her arms through the door, asking for company.. What a lovely gal, petite and fluffy, a bit thin with some matting, eager to meet and greet her visitor. Misty did not try to exit her kennel. She immediately head bunted my hand, asking for chin and neck scratches and resting her head on my knee. She owns beautiful eyes, limpid and of the most gorgeous shade of green. Misty lost her owner about one year ago and went to live with a relative. She is said to be affectionate(she loves to rest on her caretaker's shoulder), quiet and needs time to get acquainted with strangers, kids, cats or dogs although she was quite forward with us here at the care center. Misty is a very cute, gentle, friendly and very social dame who will make a new owner very happy to have her in their life. Come and meet her very soon at the Manhattan Care Center. What my friends at ACC say about me: I can go home today! I have medical needs that staff will address with you when you meet me. I am a sweet, social, older gal, looking for the perfect forever home! Need some biscuits for your breakfast? I'm an expert kneader!
