Animal Profile

Julixza

Hello, my name is Julixza. My animal id is #17062. I am a desexed female brown tabby cat at the Queens Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 6 years 9 months 3 weeks old.

I came into the shelter as a owner surrender on 9/12/2024, with the surrender reason stated as animal health - cannot afford vet bill.

Recommend emergency placement for medical reasons. Julixza is a diabetic cat - she will need long-term insulin administration and vet care as diabetes is most often a lifelong disease in cats. We are unable to appropriately manage diabetes in shelter.

Let's get to know each other a bit more...

We are unable to appropriately manage diabetes in shelter. What my friends at ACC say about me: I have medical needs that staff will address with you when you meet me. I am a sweet, social, older gal, looking for the perfect forever home! I am looking for a home with a patient person. I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace. Julixza interacts with the assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is suitable for any level of adopter experience.
