Yang
Hello, my name is Yang . My animal id is #258864. I am a female white kitten at the Queens Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 3 months 4 weeks old.
I came into the shelter as a stray on 7/3/2026.
Yang is on the at risk list for medical reasons. Yang is a kitten with chronic conjunctivitis who has now developed a corneal ulceration. She needs continued treatment with frequent medication administration, which we are unable to provide in shelter. If her ocular disease persists or if the damage to her eyes is severe, then she may need enucleation(s). Behaviorally, Yang is sweet and allows all handling.

What my friends at ACC say about me: It is unknown if I have ever lived with other animals or children. I love getting pets and - you guessed it - snuggles! I have been known to shower my favorite people in love! Cheek and chin scratches make me so happy! My purr motor is always running! Need some biscuits for your breakfast? I'm an expert kneader! I have medical needs that staff will address with you when you meet me.
My medical notes are...

Your newly adopted pet is underage and the staff veterinarians are issuing a TEMPORARY waiver from the spay/neuter requirements of the City of NY. Follow up care at your regular veterinarian is recommended to ensure continued treatment through to the resolution of the issue. At the time of a full recovery you may choose to have your veterinarian perform the spay/neuter surgery, or make provisions to return the pet to ACC for sterilization.
