Fluffy Mc Fluff Pants
Hello, my name is Fluffy Mc Fluff Pants. My animal id is #259100. I am a desexed female black cat at the Queens Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 5 years 1 weeks old.
I came into the shelter as a stray on 7/6/2026.
Fluffy Mc Fluff Pants is on the at risk list for medical reasons. Fluffy Mc Fluff Pants is a severely obese cat that has a poor quality of life in shelter. She is inactive and her appetite is intermittent. She also frequently has an increased respiratory rate, which is suspected to be related to her obesity and FAS. With placement, activity and an appropriate diet for weight loss should be prioritized. Behaviorally, Fluffy Mc Fluff Pants has no problem vocalizing her protests, but she generally allows all handling and even seems to enjoy petting.
Let's get to know each other a bit more...

My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet! It is unknown if I have ever lived with other animals or children. I have medical needs that staff will address with you when you meet me. I initially found the shelter a bit overwhelming, but warmed up in a few days - but that's normal! Give me a soft landing and I'll say thank you with some love and asking for pets! Cheek and chin scratches make me so happy! I'll need daily interaction with you as I get used to my new life, and work on getting healthy and getting my steps in! But together we can get my round body down to some curves :P!.

KNOWN HISTORY:: Fluffy Mc Fluff Pants was brought in as a stray, there is no known information on her behavior history in a home environment.
ACTIVITY LEVEL:: Moderate
VOCAL:: Somewhat chatty
CHARACTER TYPE: : Sweet,Affectionate,People oriented,Easy going,Curious
POTENTIAL CHALLENGES:: Other
Potential challenges comments:: Fluffy Mc Fluff Pants will require a consistent weight loss plan and follow up with adopter's outside vet to ensure she begins to lose weight and has the best quality of life possible. At this time, veterinary staff have noted that she begins to move and approach staff when stimulated/spoken to but she may not be as active as needed to begin passive weight loss. A consistent diet plan with placement on a somewhat elevated surface (if tolerated) once she adjusts to her her new home, will begin to motive her to be more mobile with the motivation of her food.
