Animal Profile

Chinos

Hello, my name is Chinos. My animal id is #17076. I am a male black dog at the . The shelter thinks I am about 10 months 1 weeks old.

I came into the shelter as a stray on 12/27/2017.

Reserved

Someone has already placed a deposit on me. I'm no longer available.

Chinos is at risk due to medical condition, Canine Infectious Respiratory Disease Complex which is contagious to other dogs, as well as Periocular dermatitis. Chinos pet parent should be prepared to administer a course of antibiotics for the CIRDC illness and then manage the care and cause of the dermatitis. There are no behavior concerns for Chinos at this time, Average determination.

Let's get to know each other a bit more...

A Volunteer writes: Chinos was eager to go out on a walk. He went up to the front of his cage when he saw me, but he didn't nearly pull my arm off exiting the building like many of the dogs do (because they urgently need to go outside to do their business). He pranced during our walk; it was adorable! :) He walked well on a leash, despite still being a puppy (10 months old). He peed and pooped during our walk, too; he's most likely housetrained. When I returned him to his cage I gave him treats, which he was hesitant about at first, but once he tried it, he loved it. He also wagged his tail when I baby talked to him and pet him through the cage. Chinos is the perfect dog for someone looking for a laid back dog, who prances during walks and who is so well behaved for a puppy. A big puppy but a puppy anyway, all puppy with big paws, a big heart, a huge horsy face and a need to be hugged and petted. He did not mind me outfitting him with a scarf and a coat. He is excited to meet other dogs and is playful and bouncy in playgroups with his peers. I bet he can play ball and with toys but the bitter cold forced us to go inside and warm up to each other. Chinos suffers from some type of dermatitis affecting his head and feet. We are already treating him of course but he will have to continue veterinary care once in your loving hands. I know he will be one stunning young adult once his skin is back to normal. Come and meet Chinos, our sweet babe and take him home as your forever best friend.
