Animal Profile

Osirus

Hello, my name is Osirus. My animal id is #15553. I am a desexed male gray dog at the . The shelter thinks I am about 4 years 11 months 3 weeks old.

I came into the shelter as a stray on 12/6/2017.

Reserved

Someone has already placed a deposit on me. I'm no longer available.

Osirus is at risk due to being diagnosed with Canine Upper Respiratory Disease Complex and will likely require home rest and a series of antibiotics for up to 14 days. This is a contagious illness to other dogs. In the care center Osirus has been shy at first but becomes friendly and allows all handling.

You may know me from such films as...

Let's get to know each other a bit more...

A volunteer writes: I'm not sure what museum statuesque little Osirus escaped from, but here he is, and is he ever sweet! He was maybe a little reserved with me at first (or maybe it's just that serious face of his!), but still friendly (and ALWAYS very well-mannered) and quickly revealed his quietly affectionate and playful ways. He has been a perfect gentleman on leash (even when we've passed exciting things like other dogs), seems housebroken, and is very treat motivated (he knows "sit" and "paw" but for whatever reason is very bashful in his delivery of the latter!). He lets me mush his face like it's made of putty (and seems to enjoy it as much as I do), will prop his paws up in my lap, and softly wags his demi-tail when I talk to him. He likes to play with toys and just when I thought he couldn't get cuter, he outdoes himself by having lots of fluff from a now-deceased stuffy hanging out of his mouth. Come meet this little treasure at Brooklyn ACC!
