Animal Profile

Jasper

Hello, my name is Jasper. My animal id is #226228. I am a male white cat at the Manhattan Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 3 years 1 weeks old.

I came into the shelter as a stray on 5/3/2025.

Jasper is on the at-risk list for medical concerns. Jasper came to the shelter after being abandoned in an apartment. He was reported to have had 2 seizures while being cared for by a neighbor. Jasper has an intermittent tremor and has had one brief seizure episode while in care He is otherwise eating and enjoys attention. He is currently on treatment for toxoplasma and has started on an anti-seizure medication. Jasper would benefit from a neurology consult to figure out next steps.

What my friends at ACC say about me: I lived with children in my previous home. Cheek and chin scratches make me so happy! I have been known to shower my favorite people in love! I am a cat that is in need of a lap! I can't wait to be your new lap cat. I have medical needs that staff will address with you when you meet me. I will need further follow-up with a Veterinarian when I leave the shelter.
