I came into the shelter as a stray on 11/3/2019.

United was placed at risk due to medical concerns; he was diagnosed with Kidney disease and Anemia. his front paw is declawed and there are no behavioral concerns for him at this point.

DVM Intake Exam Estimated age: 14 years Microchip noted on Intake? negative History: stray, abandoned by the donation bin Subjective: BARH. Observed Behavior -tense, nervous, lip licking, pupils dilated, hissed when coming out of carrier. KNOWN HISTORY:: United was brought in as a stray, there is no known information on his behavior history in a home environment.

ENRICHMENT NOTES:: 11/4/19 Crouched in back of kennel, tail wrapped around feet. He tolerates petting along his head and body while turning to watch my hand, then leaning in gently. Tolerant of petting and appreciates touch with a slow approach. Appears to be a little lethargic - geriatric boy.

BEHAVIOR SUMMARY:: United Is a sweet and affectionate tabby boy who appreciates attention and allows all petting! He was standing in the center of his kennel as the assessor approached, ears forward and face relaxed. He arches his back when spoken to and steps forward to greet the assessor with a raised tail as the kennel door opens. United chirps and allows petting while leaning in, raising his tail and purring. United allows the assessor to lift him from his kennel with a tense body and legs. United interacts with the assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is suitable for any level of adopter experience.
