Her family lost their home....As soon as I lifted her hide out door, Chesapeake showed me what a sweet and gentle cat she truly is. She is a little shy, true but immediately rolled on her side, head bunted my hand with determination and purred like a bubbling stream(see her video). What a cutie too she is, beautifully dressed in a sparkling silver and white coat. Sweet Chesapeake aced her behavior evaluation, is apparently healthy, is already spayed and could go home with you...today! What my friends at ACC say about me: Cheek and chin scratches make me so happy! My purr motor is always running! I have medical needs that staff will address with you when you meet me.

Details on my behavior are...

Behavior Condition: 2. Blue

KNOWN HISTORY:: Chesapeake was brought in with limited information on her behavior history in a home environment.

ENRICHMENT NOTES:: 10/13/25 FB47 Chesapeake was easily picked up and put in a carrier and was quiet when transported to the free-roaming room. She was brought to Marsala, and neither cat reacted. Then, when the kennel door was opened, it took Chesapeake a minute or two before she came out of the carrier with a low body, exploring in the immediate vicinity. A minute or two later, she walked across the room and went face-to-face with Marsala and hissed at him. They are currently inspecting each other. She now appears fine, and Marsala is remaining quiet and in place. She’s curious and continues to explore with somewhat enlarged pupils and forward-facing ears. It’s good. She went past him a second time and hissed again but then continued on her way exploring the room and the shelf. They remain close to each other, and she remains affectionate with people, giving head bunts, while Marsala remains relatively frozen in place. 10/15/25 FB20 Chesapeake is in the middle of the Free Roaming room, and when approached, raises her tail and solicits pets. She circles through staff member's legs, scent marking. When another cat (Lil Tiger) comes to seek staff member's attention, Chesapeake grumbles and hisses, but does not advance further.
