Noah
Hello, my name is Noah. My animal id is #225219. I am a desexed male gray cat at the Queens Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 8 years 2 weeks old.
I came into the shelter as a stray on 4/21/2025.
Noah is on the at-risk list for medical reasons. Noah is a diabetic cat that is currently being managed on diet alone. He will need close monitoring and follow up veterinary visits to manage and adjust his treatment plan. Diabetes is most often a life long disease in cats. Noah has also developed a URI in care and is being treated at this time.

What my friends at ACC say about me: My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet! Noah interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for cat parents with either an average amount of cat experience, demonstrate a basic understanding of typical cat behavior. I have medical needs that staff will address with you when you meet me. A volunteer writes: Noah waited on his own for a week in a backyard and is determined to make sure no one else feels so alone. Not on his watch! A bright and sparkling perennial optimist, he knows the grass is greener where you water it so he's been reaching out to everyone. Noah introduces himself with a hearty meow, a big welcoming side lean, and as many nuzzles as you're up for. He just wants everyone to know they can come to him if they need a listening ear, some advice, or just cuddles and he'll be happy to help. We don't know how Noah got to the backyard or anything about his life before. It's all in the past, Noah seems to say with a shrug. He does have some medical issues but is ready for the future and sure hopes it can be with you. Come and meet him at the Queens Care Center.

Details on my behavior are...
Behavior Condition: 1. Green
KNOWN HISTORY:: Noah was brought in as a stray, there is no known information on his/her behavior history in a home environment.
ACTIVITY LEVEL:: Laid back
VOCAL:: Quiet
CHARACTER TYPE: : Calm,Sweet,Affectionate,Curious
POTENTIAL CHALLENGES:: New home adjustment period
BEHAVIOR DETERMINATION: : Level 2
BEHAVIOR SUMMARY:: Laying inside of his kennel, Noah has a neutral face and body when the door is opened and when he is spoken to, he starts to slow blink; he leans in to sniff the treats that are placed down for her but doesn't feel comfortable enough to enjoy. He slowly leans in to sniff the assessor's hand and head bunts for pets as he fully leans in while accepting cheek rubs but remains still/put when being pet up his back and around his body. After a few moments, Noah warms up while being pet all over with a mid level tail and starts to purr when the assessor pets up his body and tail; he allows the assessor to lift him and place his back down with no issues and although he maintained a neutral face and body with soft eyes, mid level tail and forward ears he started to enjoy his treats while accepting more pets and slightly leaning into chin and cheek rubs. Noah interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for cat parents with either an average amount of cat experience, demonstrate a basic understanding of typical cat behavior.
