Ravel is at risk due to medical concerns. Ravel has been diagnosed with Canine Infectious Respiratory Disease Complex, which is contagious to dogs. Behaviorally, Ravel has been assessed as being suitable for most homes.

A volunteer writes: This guy is simply beyond adorable! He's gorgeous in his well groomed, perfectly maintained caramel color coat. His tail wags so hard he hits his sides (seriously), he has adorable little smiley wrinkles on his face, and his eyes are filled with mirth and mischief. He loves to play, and out of all the toys I brought into the pen, he loves the banana the most, bringing it to me for a game of tug, but also sometimes playing keep-away! As he waits for a treat or a banana toss, he does a quick play bow and then a perfect sit. It's the cutest habit ever, and it's all so quick I couldn't catch it on my camera. Joining me up on the bench for some hugs, he then jumps down and leans into my legs as I massage him all over, and it's so clear he's having the best time. He's an active snuggler, and there's nothing better than knowing how much a dog likes what you're doing! Ravel may be housetrained, as that was a priority as soon as we were outside. Good boy, Ravel. Romping in exuberant play with a group of females (as of this writing he has not been with males), Ravel enjoys his canine friends as much as he does his human ones. He's an awesomely fabulous dog ready to rock your world with fun, bows and lots of love. Are you ready to rock his? Come meet him today. Another volunteer writes: He's gorgeous, he's fun and friendly, he's great with other dogs, and he was the best 'waiting out the rain' buddy ever. Ravel continues to show good leash manners and was used as a 'training' dog for new volunteers, as they are shown the best ways to leash a dog from his/her kennel and go on a walk. Rock star! When Ravel and I were leaving the park, it started to rain hard so we ducked into a doorway to wait it out. In my lap, rolling over for belly rubs, schmushing me with his head in my lap, he's just the best! Being handsome enough to get the cover of Doggie GQ doesn't hurt either, nor does his great behavior assessment. He's an awesome dog for whom you should run, not walk, to adopt today.

Hx: Pyoderma noted on ventral abd and prescrotal region. Pt receiving antibiotics since 11/12/17. Today, pt has mildly erythematous prescrotal region with no overt lesions. There are epidermal collarettes on the ventral abdomen and thorax outside of the prescrotal region. Temporary surgical waiver is still in effect - recheck in 7-10 days. 1088

Patient has mild serous nasal discharge and is sniffling. Move to ISO - treating for CIRDC. Start Doxycycline (275 mg) for 14 days and Cerenia (45mg) for 5 days. Notes entered for 1088.

Summary:: In the assessment room, Ravel quickly approached the assessor with a soft body. He was social and playful throughout the assessment, allowed all handling, and displayed no concerning behaviors.
Summary:: Social: These dogs truly enjoy the company of other dogs. They generally get along with all other dogs and can tolerate even very rude or inappropriate behavior. **Ravel is a play group greeter dog**

Based on observation made in our care, the behavior department feels that Ravel would be most compatible with other social dogs. 11/10: When introduced off leash to a group of female dogs, Ravel engages in exuberant play.

ENERGY LEVEL:: We have no history on Ravel so we cannot be certain of his behavior in a home environment. However, he is a young, enthusiastic, social dog who will need daily mental and physical activity to keep him engaged and exercised. We recommend long-lasting chews, food puzzles, and hide-and-seek games, in additional to physical exercise, to positively direct his energy and enthusiasm.
IN SHELTER OBSERVATIONS:: Ravel consistently displays highly social behavior with his human caretakers outside of his kennel. He maintains a loose wiggly body throughout interactions and solicits attention from handlers
