Lucky
Hello, my name is Lucky. My animal id is #240894. I am a female tabby cat at the Queens Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 13 years old.
I came into the shelter as a owner surrender on 11/4/2025, with the surrender reason stated as person circumstance- landlord won't allow (nycha).
Lucky is on the at risk list for medical reasons. Lucky is a geriatric cat with significant dental disease and bilateral cystic masses on her mouth. Ideally, she would have additional diagnostics and a dental procedure with biopsies. Behaviorally, she allows petting and light handling, but growled and hissed with restraint for blood draw.

It is the policy of ACC not to perform surgery on any animal over the age of 8-10 years due to the higher risks incurred in a shelter setting. The veterinarian is hereby issuing a permanent spay/neuter waiver, from the spay/neuter requirements of the City of NY due to the estimated age of this animal. ACC does recommend you consult with your veterinarian to determine if surgical sterilization is appropriate.
