I came into the shelter as a returns on 7/23/2026.

What my friends at ACC say about me: My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet! I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe. I will need daily physical activity to keep me healthy and happy! I have medical needs that staff will address with you when you meet me. I will need follow up care with a Veterinarian.

Summary (7):: 7/13/26: Winn-Dixie is lying down with a neutral body as handler approaches. He is then slowly but easily leashed and removed from his kennel. While in the elevator, waiting to go on their street walk, handler pets Winn and he quickly flinches. Handler then coaxes using a soft voice, and he would become loose and wiggly which he would then accept pets. Throughout the walk, he would relieve himself and not react towards any dogs or people. He is then returned for his assessment - once completed, returned to kennel with no issue. 7/9/26: Winn-Dixie is reported to hard bark and bare teeth at the handler when they are in front of the kennel; when the kennel is unlocked and opened, he presents a wiggly body.

ENERGY LEVEL:: We have no history on Winn-Dixie so we cannot be certain of their behavior in a home environment. However, they will need daily mental and physical activity to stay engaged and exercised. We recommend long-lasting chews, food puzzles, and hide-and-seek games, in addition to physical exercise, to positively direct their energy and enthusiasm.
