Summary:: Social, jumping up, allowed handling
ENERGY LEVEL:: We have no history on Shadow so we cannot be certain of his behavior in a home environment. However, he is a young, enthusiastic, social dog who will need daily mental and physical activity to keep him engaged and exercised. We recommend long-lasting chews, food puzzles, and hide-and-seek games, in additional to physical exercise, to positively direct his energy and enthusiasm.
IN SHELTER OBSERVATIONS:: 11/21/19 Shadow was easily leashed and taken to the yard. Shadow allowed handling and collaring. In the yard he sniffed around and seemed curious and alert, seeking to observe people coming in and out of the yard by pulling hard towards them, sometimes getting on his hind legs to investigate with a loose body and tail wagging. 11/24/19- Shadow was at the front and easily leashed. He pulls hard on leash. Sniffs yard mostly ignoring handler. Has soft body no issues going back. 11/26/19- Shadow is easily leashed and pulls hard on leash. He is distracted by sounds in the street mostly focusing on them. He takes treats nicely. Mostly ignores handler. No issues going back. 12/3/19- Shadow is easily leashed and pulls very hard on leash. He mostly ignores handler, mostly just sniffing and exploring the yard. He does get a bit jumpy, but calms down when handler turns her back to him. Seems to get anxious whining and pawing at the gates. No issues going back.
