H:ACS staff noted sneezing S: BARH, occasional sneezing, no coughing, no vd. Eyes: Mild serous ocular discharge OU Nasal Cavity: Mild serous nasal discharge Lungs: Mild stertor, Eupneic U/G: Normal external genitalia. No discharge. Musculoskeletal: Ambulatory x 4 with no appreciable lameness. BCS = 5/9 Integument: Otherwise unremarkable haircoat. Neuro: Appropriate mentation. Rectal: Not performed. Externally normal. Assessment 1) URI Plan: Move to iso, start Doxycycline 10 mg/kg SID x 10 days

KNOWN HISTORY:: Buoy was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home.
MEDICAL BEHAVIOR:: 06/12/18 Mild purring, allows handling
ENRICHMENT NOTES:: 06/11/18 Lying in back of kennel, body tense and ears flat. Pupils are dilated. Tolerates petting along head and body while turning head to watch my hand, ears remaining flat. Sniffs my hand and turns head back towards front, licking lips and shifting his weight. Nervous and unsure, needs more time to adjust. 06/13/18 Sitting down near the back of the kennel with his paws folded under his body. He leans forward to sniff, then gently rubs his cheeks against the cage door. He looks around the cage, and seems hesitant initially, but warms up quickly with attention. He arches his body when pet along his back, and he leans in for rubs on his cheeks, but keeps his tail lowered. After a few minutes of attention he comes forward and gives head butts. Doing great! Okay to take off socialization list.

Reaction to touch:: Buoy looks around the cage, and seems hesitant initially, but warms up quickly with attention. He arches his body when pet along his back, and he leans in for rubs on his cheeks, but keeps his tail lowered. After a few minutes of attention he comes forward and gives head butts.
Reaction to being picked up:: Buoy was a bit tense when picked up, but remains calm and allows all handling.
