Hello, my name is Pito. My animal id is #225987. I am a desexed male black cat at the Queens Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 12 years old.
I came into the shelter as a aco - owner surrender on 4/30/2025, with the surrender reason stated as person health - medical.
Pito is on the at-risk list for medical reasons. Pito is a senior cat that we diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. He will need life-long medication and follow up vet visits to manage this disease. Behaviorally, he is timid, but has allowed handling.

He continues to accept pets and attention, allowing the assessor to lift him up from laying down without issue and eats dry treats offered out to him. Pito interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting.
