Animal Profile

Cheerio

Hello, my name is Cheerio. My animal id is #12639. I am a desexed male tan dog at the . The shelter thinks I am about 10 years 1 weeks old.

I came into the shelter as a stray on 11/14/2017.

Someone has already placed a deposit on me. I'm no longer available.

Cheerio is at risk for medical reasons. Cheerio was yesterday diagnosed with Canine Infectious Respiratory Disease Complex, which is contagious to other dogs. We have no concerns about Cheerio's behavior, and he has been assessed as being suitable for most homes.

Let's get to know each other a bit more...

A volunteer writes: Cheerio! Such a bright and breezy name for this quiet, shy little moppet who wants nothing more than to hunker down on a lap and enjoy gentle petting while he dreams of sunnier days. A sweet senior with big, soulful eyes that elicit sympathetic 'awwws' from everyone who passes us as we cuddle, Cheerio simply couldn't be any easier to handle. After successfully luring him to the front of his den with treats he let me pick him up, put a bow round his neck and plop him on the floor in the hopes he'd do some walking (nope!) without a peep of complaint and when we settled on a chair he relaxed into my arms like a fluffy wee lamb. Timid when near his four-legged peers and not one for strenuous exercise or games, Cheerio would make the perfect pet for a homebody with lots of snuggle time on their hands and plenty of tasty food in their cupboard. All he asks for in life is love...and treats, of course. Give Cheerio something to cheer for by stepping up to adopt him today and you could enjoy this holiday season with a warm lap and an even warmer heart.

My medical notes are...
