Animal Profile

Uwu

Hello, my name is Uwu. My animal id is #255283. I am a male merle dog at the Manhattan Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 7 months old.

I came into the shelter as a agency on 5/23/2026.

Uwu is at risk due to behavior concerns. Uwu is deteriorating behaviorally despite our best efforts to provide him with daily enrichment. He has been observed repeatedly banging on his transfer door and flipping his drain cover, indicating increasing frustration and difficulty coping in the kennel environment. Uwu was noted to have multiple puncture wounds on his face when he first arrived at the Care Centers. Outside of his kennel, Uwu is a social and engaging dog who readily enjoys petting, treats, and toys. He has also been observed in the pens and was not reactive toward other dogs. Medically, Uwu was recently treated for CIRDC and is currently healthy.

It is unknown if I have ever lived with other animals or children. I am playful and cute! I am excitable and energetic! I will need positive outlets for my energy! Hi there! My name is Uwu and I've been at the Manhattan ACC since May (yes, you read that right)! I arrived as a stray so the staff don't know what my life was like before coming to ACC, but I had various injuries that I'm recovering from really well. I only require a little extra paperwork to be filled out and a few extra vet visits this year because one of my injuries was likely a bite wound (now fully healed). I'm thankful for everyone at ACC taking such good care of me, but I think I'd like to find my forever home now. So what are you waiting for? Ask about me today!

ENERGY LEVEL:: We have no history on Uwu so we cannot be certain of their behavior in a home environment. However, they will need daily mental and physical activity to stay engaged and exercised. We recommend long-lasting chews, food puzzles, and hide-and-seek games, in addition to physical exercise, to positively direct their energy and enthusiasm.
