Animal Profile

Ash

Hello, my name is Ash. My animal id is #16795. I am a desexed male gray cat at the . The shelter thinks I am about 8 years 2 weeks old.

I came into the shelter as a stray on 12/23/2017.

Someone has already placed a deposit on me. I'm no longer available.

Ash is at risk for medical reasons, having been diagnosed with Upper Respiratory Infection, which is contagious to other cats. Behaviorally, we suggest that Ash would be most suited to a cat experienced home.

Let's get to know each other a bit more...

A volunteer writes: I feel for boys like Ash, who are a little more independent than other cats and therefore have a harder time connecting to potential adopters. So hopefully I can highlight all his great qualities and hook him up with the new home he deserves. Ash comes to us from a family, and his former owner said that while he hides from strangers and didn't interact with the other cat in the household, he was good with the young kids in the home; he let them pet him without any incident. His former person also said that Ash is friendly, affectionate, mellow, and litterbox trained. Care Center behavior staffers said he allowed all handling but was timid, quiet, and yep, independent. When I met him in the cat adoption room, I found him to be perfectly comfortable with people-but he wants you to make the first move and prove that you're a friend, and then he'll respond in kind. Show Ash that you're worth it, and he'll be your loyal and loving pal forever.
