I came into the shelter as a owner surrender on 12/21/2017, with the surrender reason stated as not a fit - too many animals already.

Maia is at risk due to medical conditions. She has an Upper Respiratory Infection as well as a heart murmur and a congenital deformity to front leg. There are no behavior concerns for her at this time.

DVM Intake Exam Estimated age: Reported 3 months - exam is consistent with this Microchip noted on Intake? Scanned neg on intake - placed MC during exam History : Surrendered with two littermates - one is cryptorchid, the other is apparently healthy Subjective: Alert, walks around exam table Observed Behavior - Allows handling Objective BAR-H, MMs pink and moist, BCS 6/9 EENT: Mild serous ocular discharge, mild serous nasal discharge. Clean ears. Oral Exam: Clean deciduous teeth PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: Grade 3/6 systolic murmur, loudest at the left and right apex. NSR. Lungs clear, eupnic ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated U/G: Female kitten MSI: Right front leg is amputated or otherwise missing just after the elbow. The skin over the stump is alopecic, smooth, no lesions. Skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat. CNS: Mentation appropriate - no signs of neurologic abnormalities Rectal: Normal externally Assessment: 1. URI 2. Heart murmur 3. Congenital deformity of RFL Prognosis: Good Plan: 1. Hx: Admitted with mild ocular and nasal discharge - URI, likely viral. Moved to isolation, no treatment started. S: Alert but calm in kennel O: Mild epiphora. No nasal discharge. A: URI resolving well P: Recheck in 1 day. 1088

Upon intake Maia allowed all handling. She allowed counselor to lift her and collar. She was receptive to head and body touches and allowed counselor to place her in a carrier. She was purring and kneading and was overall very affectionate.

Basic Information:: Maia is a roughly 3 month old kitten whom was surrendered with 2 other litter mates. They were kept in the same home since they were first born however could not be kept due to too many pets.

How is this cat around dogs?: She has not been socialized with dogs so this behavior is unknown

Behavior Notes: Lily will occasionally scratch the furniture and will sleep during car rides. She isn't bothered by getting a bath, having her nails trimmed, being held, being brushed or being placed in a carrier.
