Summary (5):: 06/10/25 (PM): Kobi is jumping up at the front of kennel panting heavily as handler approaches. Handler offers spray cheese along the crack under the kennel door which he will readily engage with but loses focus as handler cracks open the kennel door and will lightly mouth the lead. Handler uses the spray cheese bottle to feed Kobi cheese as they lure the lead over his head. He pulls moderately out to the play yard where he relieves himself before scenting the space. Kobi takes treats gently from hands, leans into petting, and will sit next to handler on the bench and lean his side into handler. After his session, Kobi is returned to kennel safely.
Summary (6):: 06/10/25 (AM) Kobi will approach the front of his kennel with a soft, wiggly frame. He vocalizes at the handler as they unlock the kennel door. The handler will spray cheese in his food tray and as he engages with it the handler leashes him with no issue. They proceed outside for a walk. Kobi slightly pulls on leash as he exits the facility maintaining a soft frame and gradually checking in. He will sit willingly when soliciting treats and will catch them and take them moderately when administered. Kobi and the handler will commence their walk, maintaining a steady pace as he trots alongside the handler. Kobi is returned to the facility where he will enter the building as well as his kennel with no issue as the handler tosses treats into his kennel. 6/09/25: Kobi is at the front of his kennel barking at the handler when approached, and when being leashed begins to nip at the leash a bit before being refocused with a handful of treats. Kobi is quickly leashed and brought outside for a walk where he is initially panting heavily, pulling hard and beings to relieve himself. Kobi begins to pull less once defecating/urinating and begins to sniff his surroundings. Kobi is thrown treats scatters as he sniffs, to encourage more foraging as he sniffs. At certain points of the walk, Kobi is able to be called over, and he will offer a sit for treats and the handler continues to do this as the walk progresses. Kobi leans his rear into petting, and engages with the handler readily. Kobi is brought back to kennel where he does not pull at all anymore, but still heavily panting. Kobi is placed into kennel where he goes to his bed to lay down and pant still. 6/07/25: Kobi is at the front of the kennel with a tense body, hard barking at the handler when approached. The handler prepares a handful of treats and bends down to feed Kobi while leashing him at the same time. Kobi is easily leashed and brought out to the behavior office. Kobi pulls hard and is panting heavily when entering the behavior office maintaining a heavy pant and strained expression during his time in the office. Kobi does engage with staff, leaning into contact, offering sit, down and paw cues to staff but still highly anxious. Kobi when attempted to be collar, begins to jump up towards the handler become highly aroused, starting to leash bite mildly before being refocused with a toy that he showed no interest in after it was thrown. Kobi is brought back to kennel shortly after and when inside of kennel begins to tug on the leash and has to be refocused with treats.
Summary (7):: 06/06/25: Kobi is standing at the front of kennel with a slightly tense frame as handler approaches. Kobi begins to jump up onto kennel door repeatedly and shows no interest in treats that are tossed to redirect him. Handler uses a large stuffed toy through the lead, and he will briefly grab onto the toy but releases once he feels the lead dropping over his neck and will leash bite twice. Kobi pulls hard on lead, panting and zigzagging from side to side, displaying a flushed face and dilated eyes. He relieves himself once out on the sidewalk but does not settle throughout his walk and continues to pull hard, trucking forward. After his walk, Kobi is returned to kennel safely. 6/5 (PM): Two ACS staff approach a handler reporting that they are unable to successfully leash Kobi for his evening walk due to leash biting. The handler walks to the room with the 2 ACS and they can see that Kobi has a large amount of treats and toys in his kennel from what the ACS’s were trying to use to leash Kobi. His pupils are fully dilated, his face is flushed and red, while he pants heavily due to his overarousal. The handler offers him sausages and chicken breast but he does not notice them at first. He begins jumping on the kennel door barking rapidly. One of the ACS try to leash Kobi while the handler tried to feed him the treats, but he bites and pulls the lead in. The handler continues there attempts to refocus Kobi with the sausages and he finally begins to eat them. The handler continues to feed him sausages and they begin trying to leash him. Kobi will either dodge the lead and then latch on or stand on his back legs and latch onto the lead, pulling it into his kennel each time. Due to his kennel needing to be cleaned, the handler makes a third attempt and is able to lasso him from the top of the kennel door. Once out, Kobi pulls moderately to the behavior office. Once inside, he immediately urinates and walks to the couch. The handler sits and he presses himself into their legs while accepting treats. After a few moments, Kobi whines and pulls toward the door. The handler walks outside to the street with Kobi and he relieves himself 2 more times. Once he’s done the handler returns to his kennel without issue. 6/5/25: Kobi is at the front of his kennel with a tense body and whale eyeing as the handler approaches. When the handler goes to leash him, he quickly bites at the leash before the handler is able to get the loop over his head. Once leashed, he pulls frantically on the way to the behavior room for his assessment. In the room, he would pace around with heavy panting and whimpering with a tense body. His pupils became more dilated and he began to bite and chew at the leash. Due to this, his assessment was unable to be completed at this time. He pulls hard on the way back to kennel and was able to enter with no issue. He pants heavily and whimpers at the door as the handler locks it and walks away.
