Recheck in medical for kidney dz/infection: IVF running at 25 ml/hr this AM; catheter was leaking, replaced and rate decreased to 20 ml/hr S/O: BARH BCS 5/9 - e/d well - walked outside, urinated w/multiple "leg-lifts" reported - no c/s no nasal discharge, OU clear - H/L low grade HM reported; Lung nsf - amb x 4, sno abd.ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated - intact male nsf A: hx of azotemia, neutrophilia r/o pre-renal, poss. kdny dz/infection, UTI vs other + geriatric/intact P: cont. Upon intake Frenchy was calm and relaxed. He was docile and sat the entire time. He scanned negative for a microchip and allowed all handling.

Basic Information:: Frenchy is a 17 year old small mix breed who is not neutered. He was given by a family member 13 years ago. He recently had dental work and owner thinks he has something wrong with his kidney because he uses the bathroom everywhere. Owner surrenders due to personal problems.

Previously lived with:: Two adult males

How is this dog around strangers?: Frenchy is friendly and outgoing towards visitors that comes to the home.

How is this dog around children?: Frenchy has been around children ages 2,7, and 13 years old. He is gentle with them as well.

How is this dog around other dogs?: Frenchy ignore dogs he sees on walks and doesn't interact with him.

How is this dog around cats?: Frenchy ignore cats he sees on walks and doesn't interact with him.

Resource guarding:: Frenchy is friendly when owner touch his food or take toys o9r treats away from his mouth. he often wants someone to throw his toys and play fetch.

Bite history:: Frenchy has never bitten or scratched owner stated.

Other Notes:: Frenchy shakes and goes under the bed when he hears thunder. Frenchy is afraid of water and runs when it's time to take a bath. He barks at unfamiliar people who knocks on the door or owner while on walks.

Medical Notes: He recently had dental work and owner thinks he has something wrong with his kidney because he uses the bathroom indoors.

For a New Family to Know: He likes to follow owner around the house or sleep most of the time. He plays with squeaky toys and well behaved when home alone. He eats dry food called Pedigree once a day. He knows commands such as sit down and stay. He often eats things off the floor on walks so owner usually put a muzzle on while taking him for a walk. He uses the bathroom outdoors but lately has been using it in the house and not on a training pad.

IN SHELTER OBSERVATIONS:: Frenchy Taylor displays highly social behavior, greeting handlers with soft body and wagging tail. He solicits petting from completely novel people and takes treats in a very gentle manner from the hand.
