Chiquita
Hello, my name is Chiquita. My animal id is #255734. I am a desexed female white cat at the Manhattan Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 7 years 3 weeks old.
I came into the shelter as a aco - owner surrender on 6/10/2026, with the surrender reason stated as person health - allergies.
Chiquita is on the at-risk for medical concerns. She is an adult cat with a severe upper respiratory infection and is stressed and not eating in shelter. She needs supportive care in a veterinary clinic in order to recover.

This pet needs emergency placement. Please click here to go to our emergency placement page for more information. Chiquita is on the at-risk for medical concerns. She is an adult cat with a severe upper respiratory infection and is stressed and not eating in shelter. She needs supportive care in a veterinary clinic in order to recover. What my friends at ACC say about me: Chiquita was on top of the den in the loaf position, appearing calm. She sniffed treats and then allowed all petting, leaning in for cheek rubs and giving gentle head bunts. She arched her back slightly with back petting but could not be coaxed off the top of the den. She was reasonably calm during a partial pick-up and vocalized only very slightly with a little meow. She's a sweet cat who might need a little time to adjust to her new home. Chiquita interacts with the assessor, solicits & appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. No known history of behavioral problems. This cat is suitable for any level of adopter experience.
