Suzie
|
Suzie is on the at-risk list due to behavior concerns. Suzie in the care center has not been acclimating well to the shelter environment despite best efforts to keep her comfortable. Suzie has began to lunge at strangers and dogs on walks, and when in kennel will growl, lunge and hard bark at select staff, making it difficult to handler her safely at times. Medically, Suzie has dental disease.

Thor
|
Thor is at risk due to behavioral reasons. Thor has been observed to jump up high towards handlers and snap near their face. Thor has also been observed to be highly stressed while in kennel. Noted to rub his face with wounds along the kennel bars and jump up on the kennel door while spinning and barking persistently. During his previous stay in the care center Thor was observed to mouth handlers hands and arms with hard pressure. When returning to the kennel Thor would begin to bite and fixate on the handler's hands. Medically, Thor arrived with open wounds which we have treated. Thor is also overweight.

Oreo The Goat is on the At Risk list due to behavior. He is not thriving in the care center and continues to display distance-increasing behavior when approached for interactions. He has not warmed up despite staff using treats to build a positive association. Due to his stress levels, it is in his best interest to move out of the kennel environment and into a stable home as quickly as possible. He would do best in a home with adopters who are willing to give him plenty of time and space to adjust, and who have experience with helping a fearful cat adjust to strangers.

Peach Cobbler
|
Peach Cobbler is on the at-risk list for behavior reasons. During her stay at the care center Peach has been observed to be highly fearful and has allowed limited handling by staff. When approached in kennel Peach has been observed to retreat from the front and growl towards handlers. She will maintain a tense trembling body, low head, and pinned ears while handlers interact with her. With a very slow approach, she has slowly warmed up to select handlers. She tolerates handling and gentle, brief petting. Throughout her stay Peach has become more anxious, vocalizing randomly on walks and has been observed to react to dogs while on leash vocalizing and pulling towards them. After reacting to the dog Peach will turn to the handler. One instance redirecting onto the handler and another instance jumping up at their face. Medically, she has dental disease, dermatitis,anemia, and has started treatment for CIRDC.

|
Mable is at risk due to behavioral reasons. Mable has been observed to be dog reactive during her stay in the care center. In the kennel room Mable has been observed to hard bark, vocalize, and push off the wall while reacting to the other dogs in the kennel room. After reacting to the dogs Mable has been observed to spin towards the handler and snap at them. Mable has also been observed to have a low threshold for arousal. Mable has been observed to jump up and mouth handlers with hard pressure. Medically Mable is apparently healthy.

Salvador Dogi is on the at-risk list due to behavior concerns. Salvador Dogi in the care center has been struggling to acclimate despite best efforts to keep him comfortable. Salvador Dogi has began to kennel fighting leaving and entering kennel rooms, and is highly dog reactive when being walked making it difficult to walk him safely. Salvador Dogi during interactions is social with staff, but becomes restless and struggling settling on his own. Medically, Salvador Dogi is apparently healthy.

Enola Holmes is on the at-risk list to due behavior concerns. Enola Holmes has been struggling in the care center despite best efforts to keep her comfortable. Enola Holmes is highly anxious coming out of her kennel, has some arousal concerns on walks where she will begin to jump up and grab handlers treat pouches, jump on staff incessantly having to be persistently refocused with treats or toys to help dissuade this behavior, making it difficult to walk her safely. Enola Holmes is social with staff, but is struggling to acclimate to the care center. Medically, Enola Holmes is apparently healthy.

Biggie
|
Biggie has been placed on the at-risk list for behavior reasons. During his stay in the care center Biggie has been observed to be fearful, noted to escalate to growling and snapping at handlers. On one occurrence when a handler attempted to leash Biggie he bit and released their hand causing two puncture wounds. On a second occurrence, a familiar handler attempted to leash and Biggie snapped at the leash, almost catching handlers hand. With a slow approach, Biggie can warm up to select handers but remains people selective. Medically, Biggie has dental disease.

|
Roman is currently at risk due to behavior reasons. Roman growled and head whipped during intake when handlers attempted to scan him and place a leash on him. Recently he has begun to leash bite at a high level in and out of kennel. Treats and toys don't always work to deter this behavior. When being petted he is tense and lip licking. Roman was friendly with the officers who brought him in, leaning into them for petting and climbing on their laps. Medically, Roman has CIRDC.

Ratatouille
|
Ratatouille is at risk due to behavioral concerns. Ratatouille has been displaying high levels of kennel stress and kennel reactivity despite best efforts to keep her comfortable. She hard barks, growls, and lunges at other dogs when they pass her kennel or when moving through the room. She then redirects onto her bedding, biting, shaking, and shredding while still growling. Handlers attempt to reduce visual stressors by covering her kennel, but she also bites and pulls that in, shredding it. At other times, she paces, pants, with red eyes and flushed face. Medically, Ratatouille is apparently healthy.

|
Choice is on the at-risk list due to medical concerns. Choice has severe aural masses that are causing chronic otitis. He also has a heart murmur and dental disease. If Choice's heart murmur persists, he should see a cardiologist prior to anesthesia. He will need to have the masses removed or debulked in order to treat his otitis effectively. Behaviorally, Choice is very sweet and tolerates all medical handling.

|
Cash is on the at-risk list due to behavior concerns. Cash in the care center has been intensely fearful, not interacting with staff and is observed to be shaking in kennel despite best efforts to keep her comfortable. Cash has been observed to lunge at staff when unfamiliar staff approach her kennel and during walks avoids interaction. Medically, Cash is healthy.

Buddyboy
|
Buddyboy is at risk for behavior reasons. Buddyboy came into care as a stray. He was in 2 previous homes and did not get along with the resident dog. In care, Buddyboy becomes aroused when interacting with novel items such as brooms, or the hose. He can tip into aggression when staff attempt to remove these items from him. He has a bite to staff members hand which caused some swelling, no broken skin. Medically, Buddyboy is healthy at this time.

Bradley
|
Bradley is at risk due to behavior concerns. During his stay in the care center Bradley has been observed to be highly fearful. Noted to bark and lunge at handlers during intake and bare teeth towards handlers while in kennel. Owner reports Bradley universally guards items such as treats, food, water bowl, and his toys. Bradley responds to the items being touched by growling, hard barking, hovering and having a tense body in front of items and even attempting to snap if anyone tries to take them away. He will become reactive to bikes and skateboard, scooters, motorcycles, and cars or traffic. Bradley's previous owner describes him as a very active and playful dog. Medically Bradley has mild dental disease.

Dalilah is on the at-risk list due to behavior concerns. Dalilah in the care center has been not acclimating to the care center environment. Dalilah when being returned to kennel and in general in the care center has shown significant handling sensitivity's towards her neck. Dalilah has hard barked, growled and snapped at staff when trying to unclip her leash from her collar, making it difficult to walk her safely. Medically, Dalilah is apparently healthy.

|
Spice is on the at-risk list due to behavior concerns. Spice in the care center has been intensely fearful and not acclimating to the care center environment. Spice refuses to walk out of her kennel, shaking/trembling even in attempts to coax her. Spice has to be carried out of her kennel and back into the building, and is uncomfortable times with being picked up. Spice is social with staff but struggling to acclimate. Medically, Spice's inappetence seems to be correlated to high FAS but is healthy otherwise.

Anita Luna is on the at-risk list due to behavior concerns. Anita Luna is not acclimating well to the shelter environment. Anita Luna begins to become frustrated when being leashed in kennel, backing away, barking and mouthing staff when being removed from kennel, and when being returned will preform similar behaviors along with pancaking and refusing to walk. Anita Luna is social with staff, but is struggling to acclimate to the care center environment despite best efforts to keep her comfortable. Medically, Anita Luna had a tibia/fibula fracture repair in 2023. Anita Luna is healthy at this time.

Rexy Boy

Rexy Boy is at risk for behavior reasons. In his most recent home, he had two bite incidents. The first involved the owner separating him into the bathroom, he bit and release her hand leaving no broken skin. The next day, when her son was putting on his jacket, Rexy Boy attempted to grab the sleeve but instead bit the boy's hand. In care he has been social with staff. Medically, he has been treated for a mild ear infection.

Lela
|
Lela is at risk due to behavioral concerns. Lela has been displaying a high level of kennel stress despite efforts to keep her comfortable. When people pass her kennel, she begins hard barking, growling, lunging, and baring teeth, which is a new behavior for her, indicating a high level of stress. She has also been seen at the back of her kennel, jumping all the way to the top. Outside of her kennel, Lela can be initially nervous at first and needs some time to warm up to new people. But with handlers or staff she is familiar with, she is social; Lela has displayed intermittent reactivity to other dogs on walks, but this behavior is inconsistent. Medically, Lela has been recently treated for Giardia. Lela is healthy.
