Lilly
Hello, my name is Lilly. My animal id is #263499. I am a desexed female gray cat at the Queens Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 6 years old.
I came into the shelter as a aco - owner surrender on 8/26/2026, with the surrender reason stated as person circumstance- death of owner.
Lilly is on the at risk list for medical reasons. Lilly is a obese diabetic cat with dental disease. We have been monitoring Lilly in shelter and she has been started on a treatment plan. Lilly will need daily maintenance of her medical conditon and further follow up outside vet care. Lilly has allowed for all handling and solicits attention during her exams.
Let's get to know each other a bit more...
What my friends at ACC say about me: My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet! I have medical needs that staff will address with you when you meet me. Cheek and chin scratches make me so happy! Lilly interacts with the assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is suitable for any level of adopter experience.

Details on my behavior are...
Behavior Condition: 1. Green
KNOWN HISTORY:: Lilly was brought in with limited information on her behavior history in a home environment. She previously lived with at least 1 Adult and 2 other cats (11 y/o female, 2 y/o male). She and the two other cats are friendly, have never been around children, dogs, or other animals. There is no history of bite incidents.
ACTIVITY LEVEL:: Mellow
VOCAL:: Quiet
CHARACTER TYPE: : Calm,Sweet,Affectionate,People oriented,Easy going,Curious
BEHAVIOR DETERMINATION: : Level 1
BEHAVIOR SUMMARY:: On approach, Lilly is laying with a neutral face and body and ears forward as she watches the assessor open the cage door. She sniffs the hand offered to her and accepts pets along he head and cheeks, and leans into pets along her cheeks with a soft face. She allows pets along her back as well and remains laying in place throughout all of the pets. Due to her being diabetic, the assessor only gives her two treats but when placed down - Lilly stands up and finally approaches the front to eat the two treats. While standing, she continues to appreciate all pets with her tail raised and quivering out of excitement. Although she is larger girl and handling should be limited to ensure her comfort, she is tolerant of being lifted up and placed back down, as well as being lifted and help where she settles and places her paws on the assessor's arm as she looks around calmly. Lilly interacts with the assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is suitable for any level of adopter experience.
