Suzie is on the at-risk list due to behavior concerns. Suzie in the care center has not been acclimating well to the shelter environment despite best efforts to keep her comfortable. Suzie has began to lunge at strangers and dogs on walks, and when in kennel will growl, lunge and hard bark at select staff, making it difficult to handler her safely at times. Medically, Suzie has dental disease.

Oreo The Goat is on the At Risk list due to behavior. He is not thriving in the care center and continues to display distance-increasing behavior when approached for interactions. He has not warmed up despite staff using treats to build a positive association. Due to his stress levels, it is in his best interest to move out of the kennel environment and into a stable home as quickly as possible. He would do best in a home with adopters who are willing to give him plenty of time and space to adjust, and who have experience with helping a fearful cat adjust to strangers.

Peach Cobbler
|
Peach Cobbler is on the at-risk list for behavior reasons. During her stay at the care center Peach has been observed to be highly fearful and has allowed limited handling by staff. When approached in kennel Peach has been observed to retreat from the front and growl towards handlers. She will maintain a tense trembling body, low head, and pinned ears while handlers interact with her. With a very slow approach, she has slowly warmed up to select handlers. She tolerates handling and gentle, brief petting. Throughout her stay Peach has become more anxious, vocalizing randomly on walks and has been observed to react to dogs while on leash vocalizing and pulling towards them. After reacting to the dog Peach will turn to the handler. One instance redirecting onto the handler and another instance jumping up at their face. Medically, she has dental disease, dermatitis,anemia, and has started treatment for CIRDC.

|
Kit is on the at-risk list due to behavior. He is not thriving in the care center and has been deteriorating behaviorally in care. He continues to display distance-increasing behavior when approached for interactions. He has not warmed up despite staff using treats to build a positive association. Sir Beaver is on the at-risk list due to behavior concerns. Sir Beaver is not acclimating well to the care center environment despite best efforts to keep him comfortable. Sir Beaver has began to duck and shy away from staff members trying to leash him, which is a new behavior he is displaying along with high levels of kennel stress, lunging at his kennel door at passing staff and heavily panting in his kennel. Medically, Sir Beaver is apparently healthy.

Ladybird is at risk due to behavioral reasons. Ladybird has been observed to be anxious and fearful during her stay in the care center. Ladybird has been observed to be heavily panting and vocalizing during her assessment. In kennel she has been observed to be hypersalivating, pacing back and forth. and chewing on the kennel wall. She has also been observed to rush to the front of the kennel and muzzle punch the door. Recently, Ladybird has been reported to mount handlers while out on walks. Ladybird walks with a loose leash and is receptive to treats. Medically Ladybird is apparently healthy.

Salvador Dogi is on the at-risk list due to behavior concerns. Salvador Dogi in the care center has been struggling to acclimate despite best efforts to keep him comfortable. Salvador Dogi has began to kennel fighting leaving and entering kennel rooms, and is highly dog reactive when being walked making it difficult to walk him safely. Salvador Dogi during interactions is social with staff, but becomes restless and struggling settling on his own. Medically, Salvador Dogi is apparently healthy.

Echo has began to lunge at strangers on walks and begin to grab random items while being walked by staff, making it difficult to walk him safely at times. Echo is social with staff but struggling to acclimate. Medically, Echo is apparently healthy.

Peppy is on the at-risk list due to behavior concerns. Peppy in the care center has been intensely fearful and not acclimating to the care center environment despite best efforts to keep her comfortable. Peppy in her crate will begin to lunge at staff members and other dogs passing, and when spooked will quickly escalate to lunging/biting during her handling assessment. Preppy in care is becoming slowly more social with staff, but is struggling to acclimate. Medically, Peppy is underweight but otherwise healthty.

|
Biggie has been placed on the at-risk list for behavior reasons. During his stay in the care center Biggie has been observed to be fearful, noted to escalate to growling and snapping at handlers. On one occurrence when a handler attempted to leash Biggie he bit and released their hand causing two puncture wounds. On a second occurrence, a familiar handler attempted to leash and Biggie snapped at the leash, almost catching handlers hand. With a slow approach, Biggie can warm up to select handers but remains people selective. Medically, Biggie has dental disease.

Roman is currently at risk due to behavior reasons. Roman growled and head whipped during intake when handlers attempted to scan him and place a leash on him. Recently he has begun to leash bite at a high level in and out of kennel. Treats and toys don't always work to deter this behavior. When being petted he is tense and lip licking. Roman was friendly with the officers who brought him in, leaning into them for petting and climbing on their laps. Medically, Roman is apparently healthy.

Ratatouille
|
Ratatouille is at risk due to behavioral concerns. Ratatouille has been displaying high levels of kennel stress and kennel reactivity despite best efforts to keep her comfortable. She hard barks, growls, and lunges at other dogs when they pass her kennel or when moving through the room. She then redirects onto her bedding, biting, shaking, and shredding while still growling. Handlers attempt to reduce visual stressors by covering her kennel, but she also bites and pulls that in, shredding it. At other times, she paces, pants, with red eyes and flushed face. Medically, Ratatouille is apparently healthy.

|
Grizzly is at risk due to behavior concerns. In the Care Centers, Grizzly displayed a low threshold for arousal due to his anxiety. He was observed snapping and alligator rolling when handled. He frantically searches for food with dilated eyes. During his current stay in the care center Grizzly is again noted to have a low threshold for arousal. When exiting the kennel Grizzly is observed to jump up high and begin to bite the leash. After leash biting Grizzly escalates to thrashing and alligator rolling while on leash. Grizzly takes treats softly and is fairly food motivated. Medically, he is apparently healthy.

Lavender is at risk due to behavioral concerns. She came into shelter as a stray. Lavender has been observed to be dog reactive and intense leash biting while in shelter. She was leash biting and she lunges toward the handler with an open mouth snapping in the direction of their arm. She has been also observed to pace back and forth in kennel. It is reported from staff she is social and takes treats. Medically Lavender is healthy.

|
Lucky is at risk due to behavioral reasons. Lucky has been observed to growl, bare teeth, lunge and thrash intensely when handlers attempt to put a leash on him. During intake Lucky was observed to lunge towards handlers and attempt to bite their ankle. In his previous home Lucky was reported to bite a person on the hand without warning. Medically Lucky is underweight.

Maximiliano is at risk due to behavioral reasons. Maximiliano has been observed to be highly dog reactive. Noted to pull towards the other dogs in the kennel room. While on leash Maximiliano has been observed to hard bark and growl towards other dogs. Maximiliano has also been observed to jump up and bite the leash. With handlers Maximiliano is reported to be social. Medically Maximiliano is apparently healthy.

Choice
|
Choice is on the at-risk list due to medical concerns. Choice has severe aural masses that are causing chronic otitis. He also has a heart murmur and dental disease. If Choice's heart murmur persists, he should see a cardiologist prior to anesthesia. He will need to have the masses removed or debulked in order to treat his otitis effectively. Behaviorally, Choice is very sweet and tolerates all medical handling.

Cash in the care center has been intensely fearful, not interacting with staff and is observed to be shaking in kennel despite best efforts to keep her comfortable. Cash has been observed to lunge at staff when unfamiliar staff approach her kennel and during walks avoids interaction. Medically, Cash is healthy.

Buddyboy
|
Buddyboy is at risk for behavior reasons. Buddyboy came into care as a stray. He was in 2 previous homes and did not get along with the resident dog. In care, Buddyboy becomes aroused when interacting with novel items such as brooms, or the hose. He can tip into aggression when staff attempt to remove these items from him. He has a bite to staff members hand which caused some swelling, no broken skin. Medically, Buddyboy is healthy at this time.
