Archer
|
|
Archer is on the at-risk list for behavior concerns. Archer was initially very reactive to staff, hard staring and growling in his kennel. He did warm up quickly with select handlers but remains easily over-aroused when playing in the yard. Archer becomes evasive in the yard to avoid being returned to his kennel. Going for walks have been difficult as well due to him pulling hard to the point of fainting while using a harness. Medically, Archer is being treated for mild pyoderma. We completed chest x-rays for Archer and a radiologist consult ruled out several underlying causes, a redundant tracheal membrane or other underlying condition cannot be ruled out at this time. We recommend follow up with a private vet as we are unable to provide further in-depth care in shelter.
